CLUBS, MEETUPS & ORGANIZATIONS
UNITED NETHERLANDS ORGANIZATIONS (UNO) The United Netherlands Organizations is an umbrella organization of all the Dutch organizations in LA County. The UNO meets monthly and ensures that all the individual Dutch clubs and organizations are kept in sync and that there are no conflicting events going on. They organize two annual events: King’s Day (Koningsdag) in April and the Holland Festival in early September.
THE NETHERLAND-AMERICA FOUNDATION Southern California Chapter The NAF seeks to further strengthen the bonds between the peoples of the Netherlands and the United States through exchange in the arts, sciences, education, business and public affairs. NAF Northern California Chapter
SoCal INDO SoCal Indo was created to keep the Indo Dutch heritage alive and to teach the younger generation about what their Omas and Opas went through to get them to where they are today.
THE INDO PROJECT
The Indo Project a dedicated group of Indos (also called Dutch-Indonesians, or Indo-Europeans) and Indo supporters who share the premise that their history and culture needs to be preserved in the English language. Indos all have some kind of direct connection to the former Dutch East Indies, which is now known as the Republic of Indonesia. The Indo Project is international in scope and has a large presence in California.
DUTCH CLUB AVIO is an Indo club/restaurant in Anaheim. It’s the only such social club for Dutch-Indonesians in Southern California and has existed since 1959. SAN DIEGO DUTCH 'MEETUP' GROUP Members are from the Netherlands and Belgium, children of Dutch decendants, and people who are interested in Dutch Culture.
