J. C. VAN HUNNIK The famous Dutch artist J. C. van Hunnik, born in Rotterdam, Holland, in 1925 is well-known for his nostalgic paintings of Dutch Villages, Windmill Scenes, Tulip Fields and idyllic scenes which depict life in Holland as it was. A representative, in Holland, has been commissioned to sell a large number of Hunnik's original artwork and is looking for an art gallery which can act as an intermediary. It is preferred, if possible, that all originals stay together and go to a collector or museum. Interested parties should contact hunnik.art@gmail.com

DUTCH ART Helma Kotoun is an artist from Holland who's doing a lot of international exhibitions. Her art reflects the inspiration received through jazz music, and the wildlife and farm animals around her Zeeland studio. English, Dutch and German languages. DUTCH WATERCOLORIST Hans Groeneveld is a landscape painter living in Haarlem, the Netherlands, who uses watercolor as a means to express contemporary Dutch life in the cities, rural areas, and other places in Europe. JE MAG HET ALTIJD RUILEN
A new book, JE MAG HET ALTIJD RUILEN, Nederlanders door de ogen van buitenlanders (the Dutch through the eyes of foreigners), by Wilfred Ploeg, published by Pearson-Benelux, Amsterdam, 2009. Available at online bookstores. The author is an intercultural trainer and gives training workshops and lectures about Dutch culture and business life in an international context.

SILENCED VOICES
The Uncovering of a Colonial Family History in Indonesia. The book opens with author Inez Hollander's colonial great-grandmother, a sugar baroness, and ends with the Second World War and Indonesian independence struggle during which three of Hollander's relatives were brutally murdered. Dutch language version Verstilde Stemmen en verzwegen levens to be published in April, 2009.

NO ORDINARY LIFE
The True Story of a Dutch Girl and an American Marine
The book's author, Paula Boswell, first tells about her (future) American husband's suffering as a POW of the Japanese for 40 months, then about her experiences as a Dutch teenager during WWII under the Nazi Regime and witnessing the Putten atrocity.

THE MAN WHO MADE VERMEERS Art historian Jonathan Lopez has written a revelatory new biography of Dutch master forger Han van Meegeren, who sold a fake Vermeer to Hermann Goering during the German occupation of the Netherlands. Site has English, Dutch, French and German versions.
